Kyra Does Flyball

I have to admit that I had my doubts that I would like Flyball going into the game. It was way too noisy for me and it encouraged highly excited behavior in the dogs—behavior that Kyra didn’t need more of. How-ever, I was still into proving the versatility of the White Shepherd and into finding out for myself if Flyball was for us.
It was the favorite activity of my friends and Kyra’s breeders, Pam and Michelle Koons. Without their support and help and invitation to be part of their “On the Rebound” team, we never would have succeeded. Kyra liked the excitement, but I didn’t like it or the noise. This was not a difficult activity to give up.

We earned three Flyball titles: Flyball Dog, Flyball Dog Excellent, and Flyball Dog Champion and it was not too long after this that Kyra had surgery for LS. |
