Traditional and Rally Obedience

Well, we did not like obedience, although we managed to earn a RBCSWO CD and an ASCA CD with one leg towards a UKC CD.  Once we learned about Rally, however, things started to change.  The fact that Rally was set up like an agility obstacle course helped a lot—for both of us. We were way more comfortable with this event.  Kyra earned both her APDT Novice Rally title with three qualifications in a row and a placement and her Advanced Rally title with three placements in a row.  All six times showing she earned the extra 3 points they give for an enthusiastic performance.  Rally obedience was a blast! 

Using what I learned with Kyra and not making the same mistakes has already made even traditional obedience more fun with Kole, although it will never be tops on our list.

Kyra earned four obedience titles, one with RBCSWO, one with ASCA, and two with Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT); the first group to introduce the sport of Rally.
